If you’re one of those folks worried about society’s collective future, particularly when it comes to the next generation of leaders, you would have been impressed by the innovation and thought leadership on display at the recent Science Technology Education Partnership (STEP) convention in Riverside Ca. Oct. 6-7. We were.
Hosted at the UCR Bourns College of Engineering - Center for Environment Research and Technology (CE-CERT), the conference mission is to inspire California’s youth to pursue education and careers in the fields of science, engineering, mathematics, and technology through hands-on experience. SolarMax helped sponsor the two-day conference, along with other Inland Empire leaders in business, government and education.
Students from multiple school districts toured a variety of educational booths meant to stimulate a passion for furthering their education in science-driven technologies – subject matter that makes many kids break into a cold sweat! SolarMax team members did their part to make learning more fun, utilizing a series of interactive videos and lessons to educate students on the history of solar power and how renewable energy technology is re-shaping the way in which we live, work and play.
