Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy: By now more than likely you have heard that installing Solar Panels on the roof of your home can reduce what you pay for your energy.

At SolarMax Technology, we love being able to help you keep more of the money you earn in your pockets not the utility companies.  One of the extra benefits of producing your own renewable energy by installing solar panels on your roof is the reduction in greenhouse gases emitted.

As you can see Energy is by far the #1 emitter of greenhouse gases year after year.  The average US household has 16,290 lbs of CO2 emissions per year.  Many of the major greenhouse gases can remain in the atmosphere for up to a few hundred years after being released.  Greenhouse gases absorb energy radiated from the sun and trap it in our atmosphere. These gases act as a blanket and make the surface of the earth warmer than it would be.  Carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide is emitted through the burning of fossil fuels such as oil, natural gas, and coal.  Each of which are commonly burned to make electricity.  Methane is emitted during the production and transportation of coal, natural gas, and oil.

The analysis above (is an actual production estimate for one of our customers, and the system is producing more electricity than quoted offsetting even more greenhouse gas' than shown) shows projected environmental benefits of installing a 6.44 kW system in southern California consisting of SMX250 solar panels, Enphase micro-inverters, with minimal shading, a 15% roof slope, facing mostly south.  As you can see, the installation of solar panels on your home is not only a sound financial decision but also benefits our environment greatly.
