SolarMax Planning Tomorrow

SolarMax Technology is proud to be part of the solution for a better tomorrow.  It is no secret that the choices we make today have a direct effect on the future of our species and planet, so it is imperative we manage and replace resources for the future.  I'd like to share a story told by David Hochschild Commissioner of the California Energy Commission at the Solar Energy in Inland Southern California: The Future is Now Conference:

New College, Oxford was founded in the late 1300's, and has a great dining hall on it's grounds.  The dining hall has gigantic oak beams holding up the ceiling.  In the 1800's it was discovered that the 400 year old oak beams were infested with beetles and had to be replaced.  This was a cause for alarm because the staff did not think they would be able to find replacements for the massive beams.  Upon investigation of the building records it was discovered that forward thinkers had planted an oak forest on oxford's grounds with the sole purpose of replacing the beams.  The plan had been passed down from one college forester to the next for over 500 years with instructions to not cut the oak forest because it was for the college hall.
